Our monthly Member Open Houses invite MCX Members to join us to have a drink, network with MCX staff and fellow members. It's your opportunity to ask us questions, find out more about our programs and, importantly, for us to hear from you about what support and events you'd like to see us offer. These will run monthly on Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm.
For our inaugural Open House we are inviting anyone interested in our Springboard program to join us, member or not. The event will be co-hosted by members who have previously completed Springboard so you can get first hand account of this amazing program.

As an added bonus, for our inaugural Open House, we're offering a free Business Basics workshop open anyone via RSVP (places are limited). This will cover the essential elements you need to work in the industry, no matter what your job. The workshop will be presented by Word Ninjas who have been running their creative business since 2013. You'll learn how to invoice, pay taxes, be insured, and set up your super - everything you need to establish good business foundations when working or contracting in this industry. Business Basics is for everyone - from writers to gaffers to composers and everything in between. Workshop runs 4:30-5:30pm.
