Creative business advisor, Ian Murray of 113 Partners, will talks us through ways to successfully create and develop viable screen businesses. You’ll learn about strategic planning, different business structures, and what to consider when deciding whether to set up as a sole trader, company or joint venture.
Then, join our panel of guest speakers as they give us an inside look into their particular career pathways, sharing the pros and cons and the challenges they’ve experienced within their current business models - covering independent producers, collaborative partnerships, creative company directors and writing partnerships.
Day two of the final Springboard weekend, we’ll be covering the ever-important legal considerations and provide insight into applying for grants, funding and fellowships, alongside a hands-on workshop on how to approach and write grant applications.
You’ll hear from Nara Wilson from the SAFC, multiple grant, fellowship and funding recipient Alies Sluiter, and her producer William Littleton, and MCX Production Executive Diana Ward as an assessor across all of these areas.
Then Word Ninja's Pete Monaghan will guide through the grant writing process.
And finally, we dedicate some time to answering your questions about Quicksilver and provide relevant and useful information that will assist you in preparing your applications to Quicksilver to be as competitive and compelling as possible.
